USWNT forward Meagan Rapinoe has scooped the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup Golden Ball and Golden Boot after her side concluded the campaign with a 2-0 victory over Netherlands. The 34-year-old grabbed the game's opener from the penalty spot as her side staged a successful title defense.
Rapinoe's goal took her tally at France 2019 to six, a feat which landed her the Golden Boot. Deservedly so, she received the Golden Ball for her exceptional showing throughout the competition.
Tied on the same number of goals (six) and assists (three) as her skipper, Alex Morgan received the Silver Boot. The USWNT's No.13 missed out on the top gong on a minute-per-goal basis as she scored her goals in 445 minutes as compared to her compatriot's 394.
Another USWNT star Rose Lavelle secured the Bronze ball after being instrumental in the course of the competition. The 24-year-old midfielder scored in the final, her third in total at France 2019.
