Mbappe to reject PSG contract renewal

Kylian Mbappe to reject PSG contract renewal amid Real Madrid links

June 29, 2019 By Ali M.
The Frenchman does not see his future at the Parc des Princes.

Kylian Mbappe might have only been at PSG for two seasons, but the French giants are already sweating over the future of the superstar. According to reports, the attacker does not see his future at the club and is thus ready to force a move.

While a transfer this summer appears unlikely, Marca writes that the World Cup winner will not renew his contract with Les Parisiens as he is ready to seek success elsewhere. The 20-year-old's current deal with the Ligue 1 champions runs until 2022 but Mbappe does not plan on remaining at Parc des Princes further than that.

In fact, a move could come earlier than the expiration date. PSG might be forced to sell the goalscoring machine next summer if they wish to recoup a profit or they will have to accept a bargain in the summer of 2021 as he'd be entering the final year of his contract.

This will come as good news to Real Madrid, the team with the biggest interest in the former Monaco sensation. Los Blancos have long been linked with the Frenchman and were tipped to go all out for the speedy forward in their bid to replace Cristiano Ronaldo but they would not be able to raise funds for a bid this summer.

Nonetheless, the player has eyes on only sporting success and not financial gains as PSG could offer him more than any other club in Europe. However, Kylian wants more responsibility but has to share the spotlight with Neymar, the world's most expensive signing.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi isn't open to selling the young superstar but Mbappe's stance is not one that can be solved with money. As a result, PSG might be forced to sell their prized asset to the highest bidder should there be no drastic changes. Real Madrid won't be the only interested party but they are currently the favorites and it might just be at the Bernabeu where the Frenchman finally achieves Champions League and Ballon d'Or success.
