Real Madrid is not waiting one more second to rebuild their squad, and the fourth signing for the 2019-20 campaign has arrived.

After Didier Deschamps' words regarding his pupil's future, Real Madrid has decided to announce the deal that will see Ferland Mendy joining Los Blancos this summer. The announcement comes hours after Luka Jovic's unveiling as the team's new striker.

The 24-year-old has put pen to paper to a six-year deal, which means he will stay with the club until the end of the 2024-25 season. The player will be unveiled at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next Wednesday, according to the press release issued by the club on their website.

The team also welcomed Mendy on social media with the following post.

According to earlier reports by Marca which kept inside access to the negotiation, Real Madrid will pay Olympique Lyon around $54M for the player' services, with an extra $5.6M being paid to the French side in add-ons.
