The Blues are apparently ready to part ways with the Italian manager.

Chelsea has reportedly agreed to part ways with head coach Maurizio Sarri. The 60-year old Italian manager is said to be on the verge of replacing Massimiliano Allegri as the new manager of Juventus.

Having just won the 2018/2019 Europa League title with his side beating Arsenal 4-1 in Baku, Sarri was expected to make a U-turn on any probable exit. Following the triumph on Wednesday night, he claimed that he is "starting to feel like" the current Chelsea team is his.

Prior to his feat in the European cup competition, the former Napoli manager was the subject of intense speculation. The reports suggested that the clash with Arsenal was his ultimate test as the Blues owner Roman Abramovich was ready to show him the exit door should he fail.

With a Europa League trophy, a third-place finish in the English Premier League, and a runners-up finish in the Carabao Cup, many believe Sarri has done a yeoman's job and deserves another go next season. The Italian manager also shared the same sentiment and hinted at possibly staying following the 4-1 win over Arsenal.

"I need to talk to the club and make sure I know what I can do for Chelsea and what Chelsea can do for me," he said during his post-match press conference.

"I love the Premier League and I'm lucky I'm at Chelsea but at the end of each season, you have to sit down and talk. "In my opinion, I deserve to stay at Chelsea but my opinion is not enough."

Nonetheless, according to Sportitalia's Alfredo Pedulla, Chelsea is set to release Sarri from his current ahead of his potential move to Juventus. The report claims that the agent of the Italian coach, Fali Ramadani, had a meeting with the chiefs of the London club and left the discussion with positive feedback.

It is worth noting that Sarri still has two years left on the contract he signed with Chelsea ahead of the 2018/2019 season. Should he depart, the Blues club legend and current Derby County manager Frank Lampard has been tipped to be the successor.
