The Welsh striker seems to be on the exit door from the Bernabeu, but he is also reluctant to leave the club without a hefty severance check.

Gareth Bale's future has been the subject of much speculation, and one Manchester United legend shared his views on the matter.

Former Red Devil and 1999 UEFA Champions League winner Teddy Sheringham urged the player to leave the club this summer, since both the entity and coach Zinedine Zidane have been pretty clear about their intentions when it comes to Bale's future.

"Zidane got there and said it all with a few words: 'I want to get rid of Gareth Bale'. If your coach does not use you when there are substitutions still available and the team is losing, he's being clear about not wanting you around," Sheringham said.

The relationship between Bale and Zidane has been frosty, to say the least, ever since the Frenchman's first stint at the club.

Sheringham even shared the advice he'd give to Bale in order to help him make up his mind.

"I'd tell him to leave the club and snub the millions he was supposed to earn in the next two years. I wish I could get in touch with him and give him that piece of advice," the former striker said.

Asked about where Bale could keep on playing, Sheringham admitted that watching the footballer back in the EPL would be a good idea.

"I think that he would be a great signing for any of the top six clubs in the Premier League. I believe that all of them will try to sign him, be cause he is an awesome footballer,"Sheringham added.

Bale has been linked to a move to Manchester United, Tottenham and even PSG, but the player's wage has scared potential suitors off. Be that as it may, Bale's transfer saga will surely make a lot of waves during the upcoming transfer window.
