The hosts will try to get off to a good start in this seemingly easy group. Here's all you need to know about Group A in the 2019 Copa América

The 2019 Copa América will be played in one of the countries know for its passion for football: Brazil. With that in mind, we can expect an electric atmosphere in all the venues hosting the competition.

Group A features the hosts, Bolivia, Venezuela and Perú. Brazil seems to be a lock for the next round, while Perú has the most chances of joining A Canarinha in the knockout stage. Bolivia and Venezuela have constantly been the worst teams in CONMEBOL, and a third-place finish in the group seems like the most likely outcome for these two sides. If they play their cards the right way, either one of them could also join Brazil and La Franjirroja in the next round.

Let's have a closer look at each team drawn in Group A of the 2019 Copa América.

Brazil

The hosts have won each and everyone of the previous Copa América tournaments they have hosted, and even after a disappointing World Cup last year, they seem to be the safest bet when naming the favorites to go all the way. Neymar, Gabriel Jesus, Roberto Firmino and Coutinho will all be there to try and lead A Canarinha to the title, and quite frankly, we can't see any other team taking the title away from them.

Bolivia

La Verde is living yet another transition period. Eduardo Villegas' men will try to change the course of history, especially after missing out of the KO stage in six of their last seven Copa América appearances. Marcelo Martins will be Bolivia's goalscoring threat, but given his poor performances in other Copa América outings, it seems that the team's top active goalscorer will have to lead his team to a disappointing first round exit once again.

Venezuela

La Vinotinto was CONMEBOL's laughing stock for quite some time, but their performances in the most recent Copa América outings give hope to their fans. Their fourth-place finish in the 2011 edition has been their best result of all time, and repeating that feat will be their goal this summer. Led by Salomón Rondón, La Vinotinto hopes to shock some of their group rivals and earn a spot in the KO stage.

Perú

Ricardo Gareca's men will have a massive amount of support from their fans and from those who don't have a team to root for. Their 2018 World Cup campaign may have ended soon, but with the help of star striker Paolo Guerrero, this team's options for success this summer will increase. Los Incas have not won the title since 1975, and while going all the way seems tough, the red-and-white side will be one of the most interesting teams to watch.
