The captain's contract concludes in 2021, but he has asked Florentino Pérez to set him free to benefit the club and himself

Real Madrid may be facing a massive overhaul this summer, but one player that could be around despite Zidane still counting on him is none other than Sergio Ramos.

The Spanish center back is considering "seriously" to leave the club this summer due to his differences with Florentino Pérez. The well-documented rift between them right after the game between Los Blancos and Ajax keeps making waves, and according to Spanish TV show El Chiringuito, that rift is the main cause that fuels Ramos' desire to leave the club.

Furthermore, the show revealed that Ramos is not sure if he will contribute to Zidane's new project as he did back in the day, when he was a key member of the team that won three UEFA Champions League titles in a row. Long story short, Ramos thinks that his time at Real Madrid needs to conclude before his legacy is tarnished.

According to further reports by As, Ramos could continue his playing career in three places: Manchester United (a team that was interested in signing him before he extended his contract with the club in 2015), Juventus (as an alleged direct request from Cristiano Ronaldo), and China, where the captain has been offered a massive wage.

The option of watching Ramos joining Liverpool was also considered by the Spanish newspaper, but let's not forget his public rift with Jurgen Klopp a few months ago, which would leave any deal out of the table.

Ramos has already met with Florentino Pérez to discuss a potential transfer, and while he might be pushing for one final big deal with the club, his complicated relationship with the president could force him away from the Spanish capital. But if Real Madrid asks suitors to pay his buyout clause (over $800M), then Ramos' stay at the Bernabeu will not be in question.
