CR7 suggests Mou as Juve's new boss

Cristiano Ronaldo suggests Mourinho as Allegri's replacement

May 20, 2019 By Oscar Rojas
The Portuguese ace would be willing to work once again with his compatriot after their three-year spell at the Bernabeu.

Quite a few names have been thrown around since last Friday, when Juventus revealed that Massimiliano Allegri will not return with the bianconeri next season. While Simone Inzaghi and Sinisa MIhajlovic have been named as possible successors for the Italian coach, Jose Mourinho's name has emerged as a top candidate to take over as the Italian champions' next boss, with Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly being behind that move.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Portuguese ace and his agent, Jorge Mendes, have suggested the bianconeri execs to give Mourinho a chance to coach the team, given that his experience in European football could be crucial to earn one more UEFA Champions League title for the Italian club.

The Italian newspaper suggests that "there are two men pushing for Mourinho to become Juve's new boss: one of them is, logically, Jorge Mendes, who represents Mourinho's interests. The other man pushing for this move is Cristiano Ronaldo. CR7 and Mou have buried the hatched and left their differences behind, and the Portuguese ace wants to work again with his compatriot," in a report from earlier today.

Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo shared Real Madrid's locker room for three years. The Portuguese couple won a Copa del Rey and a La Liga title with Los Blancos, but Mourinho's "third-year curse" took a heavy toll on the team. Cristiano Ronaldo was one of those players named by the Spanish media who had his fair share of problems with the Special One, but apparently, that's all in the past.
