Spurs could have two key players back in time for their showdown with the Reds.

With the Premier League season having reached its end over the weekend, the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham will shift focus to their Champions League final showdown. These two English sides are set to do battle in Madrid on June 1 in what promises to be an exciting encounter.

While the Reds have been one of the favorites in this competition, having finished as runners-up last season, Spurs surprised many by making it this far. Pochettino's men are now in for two injury boosts as they aim to become the unexpected champions of Europe.

It surrounds two key players: Jan Vertonghen and Harry Kane. Unlike the latter, the Belgian defender was present in the north London outfit's amazing comeback at Ajax but handed fans a huge injury scare after the game.

After that 3-2 win in Amsterdam, the center-back was seen in crutches with a protective boot on his right foot. This raised concerns that he would miss the final, but according to the Guardian, the center-back could recover in time from that ankle injury.

Pochettino is unsure about Vertonghen, but the player is optimistic. His absence would be a huge blow and thus fans will eagerly await confirmation of his return.

As for Harry Kane, he could make his return in 2018/19. The English was initially ruled out for the rest of the season, but with Tottenham shocking everyone to make the final, he is tipped to be back in time for the Liverpool clash. The same goes for Harry Winks.
