All is set for the exclusive coverage of the 2019 U.S. Open Cup matches on ESPN+.

ESPN+ and U.S.Soccer have reached a multi-year media rights agreement for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The deal will see the longest domestic cup competition in the United States from now through 2022.

What does ESPN+ and U.S. Soccer's agreement for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup coverage include?

  • The exclusive coverage of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on ESPN+ will commence from the First Round of matches through to the grande finale this year.

  • The deal which was brokered by Soccer United Marketing (SUM) on behalf of the U.S. Soccer Federation includes rights in all languages.

All you need to know about the 2019 U.S. Open Cup

  • The 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup will be the 106th edition in the competition's history.

  • The First Round will kick-off on May 7-8 exclusively on ESPN+. 

  • It will feature 38 amateur and Division III professional teams from across the United States. 

  • Twenty-five professional teams from the Division II will automatically enter in the Second Round on May 14-15 to compete. 

  • The Third Round is scheduled for May 29, and the teams to have qualfied from the previous round will feature against the 21 U.S.-based Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs on a national level.

  • The MLS Division I teams will join the competition in the Fourth Round on June 12.

  • The winning team will qualify for the Concacaf Champions League and will be awarded $300,000 in prize money.
