The Spanish club will be required to make the Spurs star the third most expensive signing in football history.

Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly stated how much it will cost Real Madrid to sign midfield star Christian Eriksen. An amount of 130 million pounds has been revealed as the price tag of the Danish international.

Eriksen joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 and has since established himself as an integral member of the London club. However, in June, the 27-year-old will enter the final year of his contract.

As per speculation, the former Ajax star has been identified as potential recruitment for Real Madrid and the Spanish heavyweights as said to be weighing up an offer for the midfielder this summer with Zidane aiming to revamp his current squad.

While Eriksen's transfer could be a major coup for Los Blancos just as proved with the signings of ex-Spurs stars Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, the Bernabeu outfit will be required to break the bank to make the deal happen. As per UK outlet Mirror, Tottenham's chairman Daniel Levy will hold out for 130 million pounds fee should any club come knocking.

The London club recently completed their £1billion stadium and are set to make a historic debut at the venue against Crystal Palace on Wednesday. Although Mauricio Pochettino has stated that his side aims to challenge for silverware by keeping all of its big names, the sale of Eriksen would help recoup some of the amount spent on the stadium considerably.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is also believed to be interested in the signings of Premier League pair Sadio Mane and Eden Hazard, as well as Benfica youngster Joao Felix and Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe.
