It's time for business.

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has advised Gonzalo Higuain to improve for the final round of matches despite struggling since arriving in January. The Italian manager insists that there is not much time for the Argentine to adapt to the new life with the Blues aiming at a top-four finish in the Premier League.

Higuain completed a loan move from Juventus in the winter transfer window and has scored only three goals in 10 games since his arrival. The frustrations surrounding the Argentine's signing is even further reinforced with the ex-Napoli and Real Madrid star scoring just once in his last seven matches.

Ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Cardiff on Sunday, Maurizio Sarri lifted the lid on what has led to his striker's non-performance. Addressing reporters in his pre-match press conference, he said: "He said to me that it's difficult because the physical impact of the defenders here is really very strong.

"The referees here are really very different than in Italy, so it's another football for him.

"Especially for the striker and the goalkeeper, I think it's really very different. So I think he needs time, but we have no time. We need him at his top level in the last two months."

On the subject of Higuain possibly becoming a Chelsea player permanently, Sarri replied: "I don't know. I'd like to see him at the top in the last two months. At the moment, only this is very important. We need Gonzalo at the very top.

"It's not easy to get used to this championship. The level is different; the way of playing is different. Especially for a striker, it's very difficult to get used to the Premier League in only one, two months."
