The Man United star has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu after revealing his dream of one day playing for Los Blancos.

The rumors linking Paul Pogba with a move to Real Madrid have been pouring in and on Saturday, Zinedine Zidane addressed those claims.

The Frenchman sat in front of the media in a press conference in only his second game since returning to the Bernabeu. The topic of his countryman joining him in the Spanish capital came up and the Blancos manager was asked to give a response to these speculations.

The World Cup winner recently shocked everyone by going public with his dream of one day playing for Real Madrid, mimicking Hazard, another man linked with the Champions League giant. This came despite the fact that Pogba has returned to his best under new Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The 26-year-old won't come cheap, however. Despite his astronomical wages and price tag, the rumors haven't died down and Zidane hasn't helped the cause after lavishing the midfielder in praise. However, he remained professional when discussing the Red Devils player's future.

“I really like Pogba and you know that,” Zizou said, as per Goal.

“I know him very well, he’s a different kind of player and he can provide many things because of his skills. He knows how to attack and defend.

“However, he’s not my player. He plays for United and we have to respect that. He’s always said that he likes Madrid.”

While it remains to be seen what is in store for Pogba this summer, the former Juventus ace is currently in the midst of a top-four battle with his Premier League side. Man United are fighting to qualify for the Champions League ahead of the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea and Paul will be a key figure in that race.
