The Argentine ace has been linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid after contract extension talks with Inter stalled.

Six weeks after his last game with the nerazzurri, Mauro Icardi has finally returned to the team's training sessions.

The player, who's contract with Inter ends with the 2019-20 season, returned to the team's training facilities at Appiano Gentile for the first time since February. Icardi refused to train due to an alleged knee injury, but the real reasons why he refused to train had nothing to do with an injury, since he stopped training once he was stripped from the captain's armband after failing to reach an agreement to extend his contract.

His agent, Wanda Nara, who is also the player's couple, shared passionate insights on how Icardi loved Inter Milan, trying to pin the blame on the nerazzurri execs who refused to pay him what he wants. Today, the transfer talk surrounding Icardi was brought to a halt, as he returned to the training sessions ahead of the Serie A clash against Lazio.

While no agreement between Inter and the footballer has been revealed, it is safe to say that the Argentine will have to earn his spot back on the roster due to his recent antics away from the pitch. Inter execs are reportedly keen on selling the footballer for just over $50M, when his current buyout clause stands at $100M. Such a "bargain" may attract interest of some top-caliber European clubs, but maybe the player's entourage and private life could force some of his potential suitors to walk away from any negotiation.
