ESPN+ schedule: FA Cup Last 8, Milan Derby, MLS matches to watch (March 16-17)

March 15, 2019 By Emmanuel K. Budu-Annor
A number of key soccer (ESPN+ is exclusively USA) battles will ensue in the FA CUP, Serie A and MLS over this weekend and ESPN+ is on hand to provide exclusive streaming service for selected top matches.

Another great weekend of football action beckons with a host of top games lined up across Europe and North America. With ESPN+ on-hand to provide exclusive streaming, here is an overview of some matches to look forward to:

  • FA Cup quarterfinals featuring Wolves vs Manchester United, Swansea vs Manchester City

Manchester United will hope to bounce back against Wolves at the Molineux following last weekend's defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League. The arrival of interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has engineered a renaissance at Old Trafford but the Red Devils were dealt their first league defeat via the 2-0 scoreline.

With a host of injured personnel returning for the cup game, the Old Trafford outfit is expected to get back on track although they face a Wolves side that has already eliminated Liverpool from the competition.

Relatively, cross-town rivals Manchester City will be taking their chances against Championship side Swansea. The Citizens approach the encounter with the likes of De Bruyne, Stones, Kompany, Mendy and Fernandinho all ruled out with respective injuries.

Nonetheless, there is still enough quality in Pep Guardiola's side to replicate a performance similar to what was witnessed in the big win over Schalke in midweek.

Other remaining FA Cup matches includes Watford vs Crystal Palace and Millwall vs Brighton.

  • Milan Derby: Inter and AC Milan to battle for Champions League qualification spot

In Europe, the Derby della Madonnina is one of the few big games that will catch eyes this weekend. The Estadio Giuseppe Meazza will host both Inter and AC Milan while both teams go head-to-head in a bid to consolidate a top-four position.
