The Argentine superstar ended his voluntary retirement from the South American squad in order to play against Venezuela on March 22.

The rumors have finally been confirmed, and Lionel Messi will try his luck with the Argentine National Team once again.

"La Pulga" threatened to retire from his international duties following their appalling performance in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, but AFA president Claudio Tapia and coach Lionel Scaloni changed his mind. Messi will be around to play a friendly match against Venezuela, but he will leave the team before their friendly against Morocco this month.

Messi is yet to win a major trophy with La Albiceleste, which makes most fans think that he can't be considered as one of the greatest of all time if he can't lead the team to glory, such as Diego Armando Maradona did.

The Argentine ace will have some familiar faces around, as Nicolás Otamendi, Angel Di María and Paulo Dybala will all be there. Sergio"Kun" Aguero, Gonzalo Higuaín and Mauro Icardi are the most notable absences in the squad unveiled by Scaloni earlier today.

"This is the list of players coach Lionel Scaloni has called up for Argentina's upcoming friendly games".

The South American side is getting ready to play in the 2019 Copa América, where they will try to end a 25-year drought without a major title.
