Team president Florentino Pérez will allegedly give 'Zizou' carte blanche to sign and sell as many players as he sees fit to bring the club back to greatness.

Real Madrid's president may have found Santiago Solari's replacement as team coach, but the Argentine will end the current season as the man in charge.

A report by Spanish TV Show "Jugones" revealed that Zinedine Zidane received a phone call from Florentino Pérez to take over as boss one more time. According to the report, Pérez wants Zidane to stage a comeback to the Bernabeu as soon as possible, and while Zidane has not rejected the offer, he will not replace Solari until the end of the ongoing season.

The information provided by the TV show suggests that Zidane turned down the offer to return right now, but he would be open to start fresh in June, once the ongoing season has come to an end. Then, Florentino Pérez would give the French legend carte blanche to choose his squad, which would include naming those players that will stay and the ones that will leave.

Zidane shocked fans last summer by leaving Los Blancos right after the team he commanded winning a third UEFA Champions League title in a row. The French tactician had hinted that the team needed some fresh faces around to keep on winning, mething that did not happen even after Cristiano Ronaldo chose to leave the club.

Later reports suggested that Zizou felt betrayed by Pérez, who had promised to sell Gareth Bale due to his poor commitment to the club, but chose not to do so after the Welshman's stellar performance in the 2018 UEFA Champions League final.

The Spanish TV show also hints that Jose Mourinho is also being linked with the club if a deal can't be reached with Zidane, although the Portuguese tactician has revealed that he's had no contact whatsoever with Florentino Pérez or his inner circle.

The French tactician led one of the most successful eras in Real Madrid history, which included winning three UEFA Champions League titles in a row. Added to that, Zizou led Los Blancos to the 2016-17 La Liga title and the 2017-18 Spanish Super Cup. He also won two straight UEFA Super Cup titles with Los Blancos and two FIFA Club World Cup trophies.
