The Welshman is being linked once again with a move away from the Bernabeu, but this time it would be to a familiar location.

With the winter transfer window already making waves, there are some who believe that Real Madrid will be one of the major players iin Europe, with their sights set on trying to save their inconsistent season. The following claims suggest that Los Blancos will look to boost their squad beyond this campaign, even if that means that they have to part ways with one of their key assets.

That player is none other than Gareth Bale, who according to Diario Gol, could be on his way out of the Bernabeu. The Welsh ace might still be around for the rest of the season, but his desire to return to the Premier League and his injury-plagued stay at the Spanish capital could come to an end with the season's conclusion. Furthermore, his departure could be used by Florentino Pérez to boost his squad for years to come.

The Spanish website suggests that Pérez is planning to offer Bale as part of the deal to sign Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen next summer. Eriksen's alleged price tag matches the amount paid by PSG to sign Neymar, and with Pérez tired of Bale's injuries, the Welshman's inclusion in this transfer would give both parties exactly what they want.

Tottenham's boss Daniel Levy is known to be one of the toughest negotiators in Europe, but this time, he doesn't hold all the cards. Eriksen's deal with Tottenham expires with the 2019-20 season, which means that the Danish ace could leave Spurs on a free deal prior to the 2020 Euro. With Bale's involvement in this deal, both parties would get a top-caliber footballer at minimum risk, but only time will tell if these European titans get entangled in transfer dealings in this transfer window or the next.
