The possibility of watching The Special One back at the Bernabeu is closer than some might think.

Jose Mourinho may have just lost his job at Manchester United, but he knew that his time with the Red Devils was not going to be extended beyond this season. With that in mind, the Portuguese boss had already planned ahead, and the possibility of watching the Portuguese tactician back at the Bernabeu increases by the minute.

According to a report by Spanish website Don Balón, Mourinho has already agreed terms to join Real Madrid next summer, with the deal including some clauses that benefit both parties. The length of the initial deal and Mou's wage have also been revealed in this report.

The Spanish website states that Mourinho will sign a two-year deal with Los Blancos, with the possibility of adding two more years to that term if things go along fine for the Spanish side. Furthermore, Mourinho would earn over $20M per season, with the possiblity of an increase if the two extra years are added to his deal.

Real Madrid's president has allegedly included a clause that forces Mourinho to pay Real Madrid over $10M if he wants to leave the club at any point of his commitment. On the other hand, Mourinho has included a clause that forces Los Blancos to pay him just over $17M if they decide to let him go.

Don Balón also reveals that Mou's first request to sign with Real Madrid has already been granted. The Portuguese tactician has asked for Xabi Alonso to join  him on the sidelines, where he will have a similar role to the one Aitor Karanka performed for him during his first stint at the Bernabeu.

Mourinho's relationship with some of the team's heavyweights did not end on the best terms, which should see fans expecting the end of an era. Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Karim Benzema are some of the players that would leave the club when Mourinho arrives.

Last, but not least, the Spanish website revealed that the possibility of watching Mourinho coaching Real Madrid this season could be considered if Santiago Solari can't keep up with Florentino Pérez's expectations. A Round of 16 exit in the UEFA Champions League could speed up Mourinho's arrival, but only time will tell if these claims turn out to be true.
