After so many attempts, the Welshman finally found the back of the net.

Real Madrid's Gareth Bale has finally ended his longest non-scoring streak in La Liga by getting on the scoresheet in Sunday's triumph over Huesca. However, it took the Welshman 802 minutes and 40 shots to achieve his feat.

His side had to endure a tough battle inside El Alcoraz to clinch a narrow 1-0 victory, a result which eventually fired it to the fourth position in La Liga. Real Madrid hit the ground running by getting their first-ever goal against Huesca in the Spanish domestic league in the ninth minute. The goal came as a result of a Bale firing a side-footed volley following a cross from Alvaro Odriozola.

The 29-year-old winger almost added another goal to his name in the 25th-minute but saw his effort parried over the bar by Huesca's Aleksandar Jovanovic. With both clubs failing to get on the scoresheet despite multiple attempts, the conclusion of the proceedings saw Real Madrid increasing its points to 26 after 15 matches.

Los Blancos momentarily trails league leaders Barcelona by five points. On the other hand, Gareth Bale grabbed his first league goal since the start of September despite scoring in Madrid's 2-0 Champions League win over Roma in November and in the 5-0 victory over Viktoria Plzen in the same month.

The former Tottenham Hotspur winger has so far scored seven goals in 19 appearances so far this season for Madrid.
