Messi 'reacts' to Ballon D'Or snub via Instagram Stories

December 3, 2018 By Oscar Rojas
The Argentine ace shared a relaxed pic with two of his children just as the Ballon D'Or winner was being announced.

If Lionel Messi's fans were not satisfied by France Football's results that saw "La Pulga" drop to the fifth spot of the ranking, the player seemed quite at peace without having to attend the gala.

The Argentine ace, who was seemingly enjoying a day off, shared a picture via his Instagram stories joined by two of his sons. Contrary to popular belief, Messi seemed to have no worries whatsoever about his snub from the award, especially since he published his pic exactly when the winner was being announced.

Messi finished fifth in France Football's ballot to determine the best player of the year, but he seemed unfazed by that snub, as his social media pic shows.

Messi still owns the record for most Ballon D'Or wins with five, which was matched by Cristiano Ronaldo last year. Will the Argentine ace recover that award next season? We will have to wait and see.
