The Xeneize side seems determined to win one more Copa Libertadores title on the table rather than on the pitch.

CONMEBOL has finally decided where the Copa Libertadores final will be held, but at least one of the teams has already voiced their discomfort.

Boca Juniors has sent a letter to football's governing body in South America, with the intention to win the tournament on the table. According to Los Xeneizes, CONMEBOL's decision is not respecting their own rules, and given "a blatant disregard of Article 8" in the body's rule book, Boca wants River to be punished with a 2-0 loss, which would give them the title.

Boca Juniors' president, Daniel Angelici, stated that the club will file the appeal to CONMEBOL. If the South American body doesn't give them what they want, then the blue and gold side will file the same petition to the Court of Arbitrage in Sports.

The game is scheduled to be played on December 9 at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, following a long negotiation between the South American authorities, FIFA and the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
