Los Millonarios were not given the chance to appeal CONMEBOL's decision, which was made public earlier today.

The incidents that took place in the hours leading to the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final have finally taken a toll on the hosts of that game, as Riber Plate will be punished both on and off the pitch.

The Argentine club will be forced to see the second leg of the final being played away from their home, but the consequences of their supporters' actions will see them playing with no fans in their stands in two straight CONMEBOL games.

Furthermore, River Plate will have to pay a $400,000 fine for all the damages caused by their supporters, who viciously attacked Boca Juniors' bus en route to the stadium. That amount of money will be deducted from River Plate's bonus after the final takes place.

The game is set to be held at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on December 9, in a decision that caused controversy because one of the most passionate derbies in the world will not be played in an Argentine stadium for security reasons.
