Neymar and Co. could be demoted to the Europa League today if these two things happen.

Wednesday is here, and with it comes one of the most anticipated games in the Champions League: PSG vs Liverpool. A lot is on the line in this fixture, hence the excitement, as both teams are fighting for a spot in the next round.

This is the most intense group of the competition, as all four teams stand a chance of progressing. Only two points separate Klopp's first-placed side from last-placed Red Star Belgrade. However, all eyes will be on Les Parisiens.

The reason is they could be staring at humiliation. With only one win from their opening four games, the Ligue 1 champion is in risk of bowing out of this tournament in the group stage.

And the French side could be eliminated as early as Matchday 5 if the result against the Merseyside giant doesn't go their way. For this to occur, two things must happen.

First, Neymar and Co. must suffer defeat at home to last season's runner-up. Secondly, Napoli must win their tie against Red Star Belgrade to put the final nail in PSG's Champions League coffin.

Should Tuchel's side avoid defeat or the Italians fail to win their respective fixture, the Paris side will live to die another day. However, given their inconsistency in Europe this term and the fact that they have lost to Liverpool in their opening game, the Ligue 1 outfit could drop into the Europa League on Wednesday.

Tuchel has received a huge boost ahead of this crucial game, however, as both Neymar and Mbappe have been declared fit to start despite picking up worrisome injuries during the recent international break.

Liverpool will be a tough opponent regardless, as Mane has been cleared to feature alongside Salah and Firmino. The Premier League heavyweight could book their ticket to the round of 16 today with a win, but they will need Napoli to draw or win for that to occur.

Of course, if Salah and Co. lose, they could be the ones facing an early exit. Anything is possible in this group. Tune in to this game to watch how things unfold.
