Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has stated that last night's victory over Barcelona was the best moment of his life as an Arsenal player.
David Villa put Barca ahead and they looked comfortable for the win until Van Persie and Arshavin struck in the second half to give Arsenal the all important first leg advantage over the Catalans.

This win ensured that Arsenal stay on the right track in four competitions this season.

Wilshere was ecstatic about the victory but even he knows that the job is not finished yet as Arsenal do have to face Barcelona at the Camp Nou next month.

"It's been amazing, the last couple of weeks, but this probably tops it," the teenager told Sky Sports News.

"This is the best moment as an Arsenal player for me by far and we've got the second leg and we've got to go over there and get through to the quarters.

"In the first half they had a spell of 20 minutes where we couldn't get the ball off them.

"We knew they were going to be like that, we just had to hold out and defend well and when we get our chance, counter and attack them, and we did."

Jack Wilshere was one the impressive performers for Arsenal last night, keeping Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez at bay for prolonged period of the match.
