Reports in Italy suggest that Manchester United may finally be able to hire the player that's been on Mourinho's agenda for two straight years.

Good things come for those who wait, and that includes one of Jose Mourinho's transfer wishes.

Reports in Italy about Ivan Perisic's future found echo in English newspapers, fueling the idea of Manchester United finally landing the Croatian winger.

Jose Mourinho has tried to sign the Croatian international for the last two summer transfer windows, but this time, it seems that Inter Milan is willing to let the footballer go due to his poor performance this semester.

Perisic has only been able to score two goals for the neroazzurri side in the 2018-19 campaign, and Inter would find it right to sell the footballer's rights for a $40M.

These reports suggest that Inter Milan is desperate to sell some of their most-valuable assets due to a pending Financial Fair Play probe. Perisic and fellow Croatian center back Milan Skriniar would be included in that list, in order to keep their top scorer and captain Mauro Icardi around.

Despite his shaky form after the FIFA World Cup, Mourinho may be keen on trying to sign the footballer as a plan to avoid ending the season away from European Cup spots. Added to Perisic's signing, Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing a center back. Only time will tell if Man United's execs will give Mourinho a green-light to sign this player.
