A failed attempt to clear the ball by Courtois following a corner kick gave way for Manu García's header.

Real Madrid has become the laughing stock in La Liga. With the team seemingly going nowhere, Los Blancos dropped three more points this season, and things couldn't look worse for Julen Lopetegui's men.

Real Madrid's problem has nothing to do with ball control. Their strikers have squandered each and every one of their chances in front of goal, while their defense is suffering with injuries and some blatant miscalculations by those who are supposed to be their leaders.

Saturday's match against Alavés was historical for several reasons, but none of them will satisfy Real Madrid fans. Julen Lopetegui has signed the 11th worst La Liga debut for Real Madrid. Only 10 coaches prior to him had worse numbers than those he currently owns. The Spanish tactician has won four games, but his two draws and two losses leave him with 14 points, not good enough to salvage the man's reputation or the team's legacy.

Furthermore, the team's lack of goals is breath-taking. Six hours have gone by since Los Blancos' most recent goal, with two of their best men struggling to replicate the form they showed in this season's earlier games.

If you thought it couldn't get worse for Los Blancos, here's just how long it had taken for Alavés to beat them at their very own home turf.

"Julen Lopetegui is the first Real Madrid coach to lose four out of his first 11 games in charge since April/May 1994 (Vicente del Bosque). This is also Real Madrid's first loss at Mendizorroza in 87 years (2-0, on March 8, 1931)."

Will Julen Lopetegui survive the ax with an International Break coming up?
