October 4, 2018 By Ali M.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, AC Milan, Sevilla, and Bayer Leverkusen will be in action in the upcoming round.

Matchday 2 of the Europa League is upon us. Competition in this UEFA tournament will resume on Thursday, with a list of intriguing fixtures heading our way.

The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, AC Milan, Marseille, and Bayer Leverkusen will all take to the field, facing their respective opponents with the aim of securing victory. Here are the main talking points ahead of the latest round.

Match of the week - AC Milan vs Olympiakos

While Arsenal and Chelsea fans will tune in to see their team in action, their opponents -- Qarabag and Videoton, respectively -- shouldn't pose a huge threat to the London giants. AC Milan's clash with Olympiakos, however, should be a competitive and entertaining game to watch.

The Greek outfit picked up a point in the opening game, drawing 0-0 at home against Real Betis. However, Olympiakos has lost only once since the season began and will test the Rossoneri.

Arsenal's bench-warmers vying to make a case

Arsenal takes on Qarabag on Thursday, which means squad rotation. A number of their star names will likely be rested in favor of those in need of playing time.

While Bernd Leno has found his way into the starting eleven due to Petr Cech's injury, the likes of Danny Welbeck, Alex Iwobi, and Stephan Lichtsteiner struggling for regular playing time despite shinning when playing. The question is will they show Unai Emery enough to convince him when they face Qarabag?

Chelsea aiming for a better display

Yes, Chelsea is yet to lose a game this season. Yes, the Blues ended the high-flying Liverpool's perfect run twice. However, in their opening Europa League game, the London giant failed to impress.

They did come away with a 1-0 win in the clash with PAOK, but their display was anything but convincing. Hazard was rested in that tie, but Sarri's men must prove that they are not a one-man team.
