With the Special One still under fire, there are some teams that would be keen on having him around...

Even if Jose Mourinho is not regarded as the best coach in the world right now, there are teams that are ready to risk everything to have the Special One around.

One of those teams is none other than the United States Men's National Team (USMNT), a team that has been working under interim coach Dave Sarachan for almost a year.

The United States Soccer Federation has been interviewing candidates since the end of the 2018 World Cup, but they have been turned down by almost all the coaches they've met with. According to Sports Illustrated reporter Grant Wahl, the USSF would be keen on attempting to sign Mourinho if he is indeed sacked by Manchester United.

For this plan to work, the Red Devils should feel obliged to sack Mourinho before the end of the year, when the USSF is reportedly interested in unveiling their new coach.

This is not the first time in which Mourinho has been linked to a National Team. A couple of years ago, he refused to coach the English National Team, since he "didn't want to coach once every two years". Will this coaching gig change his mind in the event of a negotiation? Only time will tell.
