Key fixture - AC Milan vs Atalanta

Both AC Milan and Atalanta come into this fixture having struggled to get their footing in Serie A. Atalanta have been in lousy shape recently and having missed out on the Europa League after crashing out in the play-offs, will need to get back on track quickly to have another shot at competing in the competition next season. As for the Rossoneri, although they earned a win over Luxembourg minnows Dudelange, it was hardly an impressive showing from Gennaro Gattuso's side and their objective of securing a top four finish has not gone all according to plan just yet.

This could be a tricky fixture for the hosts, who have failed to win their last four meetings with Atalanta at the Stadio San Siro. Worryingly for Diavolo fans is the fact that Milan have failed to score in those four meetings (L2 D2) and as we all know, if your team can not score goals, your team can not win a game. Will Gonzalo Higuain, who grabbed the only goal against Dudelange midweek, again be the difference maker for Milan this weekend?

Talking point - Will Tottenham win help Inter jump-start Serie A season?

Inter have not had a great start to the Serie A campaign and pressure is rapidly mounting on Luciano Spalletti to get things right. An opening day loss to bogey side Sassuolo did not do the Nerazzurri any favors, and things have only gotten worse following a shocking defeat to Parma at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza last weekend - which marked the Crociati's first win at that venue since 1999.

Although Inter staged a comeback to beat Tottenham 2-1 in the Champions League, it only helped to paper over the cracks somewhat. The Nerazzurri now travel to Sampdoria's home ground, a place where they notably crushed the Genoa-based outfit 5-0 last term as they chase a very important three points. However, Samp are a side who are desperate to avoid another humiliating loss and so far have already beaten Napoli at this ground this season. They also are trying yet again to build their standing on a strong home record and certainly will have taken some lessons from their heavy defeat six months ago.

Talking point #2 - Who will be the first to finally score a goal - Bologna or Frosinone?

Only two sides in Serie A have yet to score a goal this season: Bologna and Frosinone. And neither side will have it easy this weekend. Arguably, Frosinone's task is even tougher as they take on Juventus on Sunday. The Bianconeri will have to make do without Douglas Costa, who received a four-game ban after fighting with Sassuolo's Federico Di Francesco last weekend, and even if he wasn't banned, the Brazilian would miss this game due to injury after coming off injured during Juve's 2-0 win over Valencia midweek.

Frosinone will have their hands full trying to contain Cristiano Ronaldo, who finally opened his Serie A account last weekend. And given that he was controversially sent off midweek, the 33-year-old is bound to take out his frustration on someone. The Canarini will no doubt be wary of this and try their best to keep him shackled to the best of their abilities, but Sassuolo tried it and it obviously did not pay off.

As for Bologna, they face Roma, who will be somewhat disappointed after losing to Real Madrid. That result wasn't a shock for the Giallorossi, who were the huge underdogs in that contest, but the Lupi will be looking to get back to winning ways in domestic action this weekend.

Will either Bologna or Frosinone finally end their droughts and grab a goal, even if it turns out to be a mere consolation? We shall see!
