The Spaniard appeared to injure his shoulder late on in the 1-0 after suffering a nasty collision with the opposition goalkeeper.

On Thursday, Chelsea began their Europa League campaign on a positive note but they were dealt a huge blow nonetheless. Towards the end of their 1-0 win over PAOK, Pedro was forced off the pitch after picking up what appeared to be a nasty injury.

The Spanish winger was unable to complete the 90 minutes after appearing to dislocate his shoulder in a terrible collision with opposition goalkeeper in the second-half injury time. After spending minutes on the floor, he was helped off the pitch by the Blues' medical staff, with the London giant being forced to complete the game with 10 men.

Speaking after the game, Maurizio Sarri moved to calm fears of a long layoff but the Italian revealed bad news regarding their in-form attacker nonetheless. While the Chelsea boss admitted that it does not look serious, he also confessed that they will be without his services for two crucial games.

"I don't know the situation exactly," Sarri said, as per the Sun.

"I spoke to him for a few seconds but it probably isn't a serious injury.

"He's a doubt for the West Ham game... a doubt for both of the Liverpool games."

After visiting the Olympic Stadium on Sunday in the Premier League, Chelsea will then head to Anfield to face Liverpool in the League Cup on Wednesday before hosting them in the English top-flight three days later. That upcoming Stamford Bridge encounter will be a huge tie for the London outfit, as the Reds are hot on their heels in the standings.

Those two sides are the only teams that boast a perfect record in the league so far this season, with the Blues boasting a slight advantage over Klopp's crew due to a higher goal difference. Presumably, both teams will head into that encounter with their 100 percent record intact, making victory in that tie all the more important.

Should Pedro miss that game, it will come as a huge blow to the league leader. The former Barcelona man has gotten his groove back under Sarri, scoring three goals so far in the Premier League this campaign. Fans will be hoping for a swift return in time for the Liverpool showdown.
