The Argentine legend will coach Dorados de Sinaloa, but he wished to send a Maradona-esque message before landing in Mexico.

Diego Maradona's stint as coach for a second-tier team in Mexico hasn't started, and he's already making waves with his controversial remarks.

The former footballer posted a message for his fans to see on his Facebook page, where he remembered the time of his life in Mexico. But since Maradona can't seem to keep himself away from controversy, he reached out to pay his respects to the new president elect of the North American country.

"El Diez" referred to the winner of the presidential election in Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, in one more display of his political views, which match to the new president's ideas.

Here's Maradona's full message.

"Truly happy for this job opportunity. I'm happy to return to the land that saw me win a World Cup title, a land that brings back some fun memories. I'm happy for all the comments, and for all the messages of good luck. I want to tell you that I face this new stage with humility, and with the same eagerness as always. I send all my best to all the people of Mexico, and to their new president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who will undoubtedly work to bring happiness to the people. Latin America should be united and in peace against the Imperial powers, those who extend their weapons to keep everything for themselves despite the people's hunger."
