The Brazilian goalkeeper committed a costly error in the Reds' 2-1 win over Leicester.

While the signing of Alisson has provided Liverpool with solidity in between the sticks, it appears he himself is not immune from blunders. The Brazilian showed this in Saturday's win over Leicester, as he awarded their opponent with a goal.

Liverpool made the trip to King Power Stadium in the early kick-off and marched to a 2-0 lead by half-time thanks to goals from Mane and Firmino. However, the former Roma shot-stopper's error made for a nervous final 20 minutes.

After receiving a back pass from Van Dijk, the Brazilian opted against clearing the ball despite being charged at by an opposition player. Instead, he attempted to dribble past his man but was wrestled off the ball after fumbling with his foot.

A few seconds later, Alisson was picking up the ball from the back of his net for the first time in the Premier League. As a result, people on Twitter could not help but poke fun at the Reds ace.

The common theme between all the jokes was a comparison with Karius, Klopp's former no.1 choice in goal. Check out the best tweets below.
