Their current deal with German kit sponsors Puma will come to an end next summer, and their new agreement will boost The Gunners' finances.

Arsenal fans will have more reasons to smile about, as the team is set to have the third most expensive kit in history.

The Gunners are on the verge of signing a hefty deal to leave their current kit sponsor, Puma, to join German kit manufacturer Adidas. Puma's designs have not been met with delight by Arsenal fans, and using the brand of the three stripes has fans already buzzing about the possibility.

If the deal is confirmed, Arsenal's finances will receive a major boost. The 5-year deal will guarantee the North London side $77M per year, which means that the entire deal will grant The Gunners over $386 million. Only Manchester United and Barcelona have more lucrative kit sponsorship deals at the moment.

The deal will see Arsenal re-joining Adidas for the first time in 24 years. Here are some late 90s designs used by Arsenal while working together with the German kit manufacturer.
