Champions League play-offs: Where to watch the second-leg games

August 27, 2018 By Ali M.
The likes of Benfica, Ajax, PAOK, Dynamo Kyiv, and many others are battling it out for six remaining Champions League group-stage spots.

Fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming season of the Champions League, but before the new campaign can kick off, the playoffs must first be completed. Tuesday and Wednesday will see this stage wrap up, with 12 teams battling it out for six spots in the group stage.

The standout fixtures of the second-leg playoffs are Ajax's trip to Dynamo Kyiv, Dinamo Zagreb's home tie against Young Boys, and Benfica's away showdown with PAOK. The Eagles' trip to Greece will be a nail-biting one for their fans as they are in great danger of missing out on Europe's elite club competition.

The Portuguese played at home in the first leg but was unable to overcome PAOK, only managing a 1-1 draw. This means a defeat would send Benfica into the Europa League.

Young Boys faces a similar situation after also only managing a 1-1 draw with Dinamo Zagreb. Despite dominating the tie, the Swiss outfit failed to convert many of their opportunities and must head to Croatia and fight for the win.

Ajax is aiming to return to the Champions League for the first time since 2014/15, with everything pointing to the Dutch giant qualifying. They boast a 3-1 lead from the first leg and must simply avoid a comeback against the Ukrainian outfit.
