Los Blancos will go red for the second time in history, as they will have a similar color on their third kit to the one they sported in the 2011-12 season.

Real Madrid fans may have been expecting the unveiling of their next footballer, but the team decided to show off their new threads for next season instead.

With an eco-friendly approach, the team's kit sponsor, Adidas, revealed their third kit for the 2018-19 campaign, which seems as a carbon-copy of the goalkeeper's kit from last season, although it has a brighter red color palette to it.

This will be the second time in history in which Real Madrid wears a similar color on their third kit. The team also used a different color red during the 2011-12 campaign, and eventually, the controversial color gave them good luck, as they went on to win the La Liga title under José Mourinho that year.

According to the German sportswear manufacturer, this kit is the result of a partnership between kit suppliers Adidas and Parley for the Oceans, a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness about plastic pollution in the world's seas. The shirt is made entirely of Parley Ocean Plastic, a composite of recycled materials.

Have a look at the kit and decide if it strikes your fancy.

The team's lettering will be the same in all jerseys, but the numbers worn by the team in La Liga games will change a bit.

The kit is already available for purchase in the team's online store.
