The former Monaco ace made the trip to the United States for the pre-season but left due to the birth of his second child. However, a week has passed since the birth and the winger is yet to rejoin Mourinho's squad, which has angered Jose.
The belief among the Old Trafford officials is that the 22-year-old has not trained for the past eight games and thus he is set to lose two week's worth of salary, which amounts to $236,483 (£180,000), as per the Mirror. If Man United goes ahead with this penalization, it will end up pushing Anthony further out the Old Trafford door.
The Frenchman, who missed out on the 2018 World Cup squad that won the title, is eager for an escape route. Despite arriving at the Theatre of Dreams with huge anticipation, he has fallen down the pecking order under Mourinho and struggled to earn proper playing time.
