The Portuguese manager believes all but the these three clubs will have an easy ride at the beginning of the league season.

Jose Mourinho is anticipating a challenging start to for his side ahead of the 2018/2019 Premier League season. The former Chelsea manager is currently on a preseason tour with Manchester United in the United States and things are yet to work out for the Red Devils who haven’t recorded any wins in two appearances.

This is partly due to the fact that Mourinho does not have his full squad to work with as most of his key players who featured in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia are yet to return from their respective vacations. Paul Pogba, Romelu, Lukaku, Marouane Fellaini, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford are the notable ones missing from the Manchester United camp.

Similarly, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur also have some star names being unavailable at the moment. And this, per Jose Mourinho’s observation, will have a huge bearing on the outcomes of matches which will be played at the beginning of the new season.

“Of course I am not happy [with the players’ absence] because I have just a few players," Jose Mourinho stated in a press conference ahead of the pre-season friendly wiith AC Milan.

“If you compare the players Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal have for the pre-season preparations you will see the difference in the situation.

“Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are in a similar situation as we are. But you can see that the case is different for some other clubs.

Manchester United will kick-start the 2018/2019 Premier League by taking on Leicester City at Old Trafford on August 10.
