Uruguay ended Russia's dominance with their 3-0 win against the hosts, while Saudi Arabia sent Eygpt back home without a single point.

Group A of the FIFA World Cup is all wrapped up, and Uruguay defended their higher FIFA rank against the hosts, Saudi Arabia and Egyupt.

There were a total of 34 goals scored in this group, with Denis Cheryshev having a role in at least four of them(three goals for Russia, one own goal).
