CR7 joins Portugal ahead of FIFA World Cup

Cristiano Ronaldo joins Portugal's camp ahead of 2018 FIFA World Cup

June 4, 2018 By Oscar Rojas
The Portuguese ace was handed a ten-day break prior to the competition, following his performance in the UEFA Champions League final.

Portugal's training sessions on Monday had quite a novelty, as Cristiano Ronaldo finally joined the team to get ready for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Portuguese ace was the last member of the squad to begin his training sessions under Fernando Santos, mainly due to his involvement in the UEFA Champions League final with Real Madrid.

The most prolific scorer among footballers playing for their national teams will undoubtedly become the center of attention, as he's expected to reveal his intentions regarding a possible departure from Real Madrid, as he hinted moments after the end of the game.

Here are some pics from Portugal's training session, with Cristiano Ronaldo taking center-stage.

The team's official Twitter feed also praised the arrival of their captain.

Look who's back!"
