Match Preview

Morocco vs Ukraine

The Lions of the Atlas faces Ukraine in Switzerland as they aim to get in the best form to grace the world's biggest football stage. Herve Renard's side will find themselves battling the likes of Portugal, Spain, and Iran in Group B and when they make the trip to Russia. However, if their qualification phase is anything to go by, big surprise packages could be dished out by the North Africans to the group's favorites.

Regarding their upcoming friendly with Ukraine, victory will take Morocco's unbeaten run of matches to 16 across all competitions. They will, as a result, fancy their chances with their attacking flair and formidable defense marshaled by Juventus' Mehdi Benatia.

Ukraine, on the other hand, is already making preparations for Euro 2020 after failing to qualify for the World Cup behind Iceland and Croatia. The side managed by the legendary Shevchenko will only seek to use the test to experiment with their youthful personnel as they seek to rebuild.

Luxembourg vs Senegal

With the host failing to secure a spot at the World Cup, the visitors will be the ones under the microscope in Wednesday's encounter. Senegal will aim at raising the confidence in their camp with a favorable result before they feature in another friendly against South Korea and then jet off to Russia.

A tough challenge awaits the Teranga Lions in Group H amid the likes of Poland, Colombia, and Japan. However, their feat of reach the quarter-final in their debut of the World Cup back in 2002 could propel them to another impressive campaign in their second appearance.

All in all, Senegal are expected to clinch a favorable result against a Luxembourg side that suffered a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Austria in their previous game. Prior to that, Luc Holtz men had enjoyed a streak of two wins and a draw in three matches.
