The Blues' had their slight hopes of securing Champions League spot dashed after falling to Newcastle United on Sunday.

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, is now in a sticky situation after failing to secure a top-four spot with his side. The Italian coach led the Londoners in search of a win at the St James’ Park where they have not won a single game since 2011 while hoping that Brighton wins at Anfield in order to dent Liverpool’s chances of finishing above them.

However, that was not the case as Chelsea fell to a 3-0 defeat against Rafa Benitez’s men whereas the Spanish manager’s former side also secured all the three points against Brighton at Merseyside. The turn of events has, as a result, provoked fans to voice their misgivings on social media.
