Sunday will see this season’s Premier League come to an end. A thrilling campaign will enter its final round, with all the remaining 10 fixtures kicking off simultaneously.

While the title was won a few rounds back, there is a lot left to play for ahead of the final Matchday. The last team to be relegated will be confirmed but all eyes will be on the top-four race.

Tottenham is guaranteed a spot in the Champions League, but the fight to finish fourth will go down to the wire. Liverpool currently holds that spot but their two-point lead over fifth-placed Chelsea could be overturned.

For the Blues to pip the Reds to that final Champions League qualification, a miracle must happen. First, the Merseyside giant must lose at home for the first time this season in their final game, against Brighton, to hand Conte’s men a lifeline.

Furthermore, the London giant must also win their fixture – a trip to Newcastle – to leapfrog Klopp’s side. An Anfield draw would not suffice as Chelsea would have to overturn Liverpool’s 15-goal advantage in goal difference. 

As a result, the Blues’ Champions League fate is not entire in their hands. All they can do is win at St. James’ Park and pray for a slip-up in Meryseyside.
