The Red Devils could take a step closer to securing the only title they are in contention for this season when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford. The encounter promises to be a thrilling one with both sides aiming at hitting some level of consistency in recent weeks.

After securing a hard-fought win against cross-town rivals Manchester City, the Red Devils dropped points at home against relegation threatened West Brom in the Premier League. Mourinho’s men, however, bounced back a 2:0 win at Bournemouth ahead of the upcoming clash.

Tottenham, on the other hand, fell to Manchester City at Wembley before a draw with Brighton at the AMEX Stadium in the domestic league. Despite being drawn as the away side, Spurs seem to have the upper-hand in this encounter as they have been very formidable at Wembley.

Factors such as Harry Kane returning from an injury lay-off and Pochetino's men winning against Manchester United earlier this season at the venue of Saturday’s game could motivate the North Londoners to try and upset Jose and his men yet again.

Should Spurs progress to the final and win the title, it will be the first-silverware the team has won since 2008 when they won the League Cup against Chelsea. But it will barely be straightforward with Manchester United boasting equally good players in your ranks.

Marksman of the Old Trafford outfit, Romelu Lukaku, has already scored in each round Man Utd has played in so far this season with a total tally of five goals. Furthermore, the fact that Tottenham has lost each of their last seven FA Cup semi-final ties could come as a huge morale booster for Jose Mourinho’s side going into Saturday’s game.
