The German boss even shared what the ideal Champions League final would have been if things had taken a different turn.

Barcelona's UCL exit shocked the world of football, and even Jürgen Klopp had something to say about it.

Speaking after Liverpool kicked Manchester City out of the competition, the German tactician admitted that he didn't believe the news surrounding Barcelona to be true, while adding some choice words for Roma.

"I was heading down the stairs when someone told me about it.  I honestly believed it was a joke. I say this with no disrespect to Roma, on the contrary. They have a fantastic team, and Edin Dzeko...just wow," Klopp stated.

Klopp admitted being surprised by Roma's heroic comeback, and even stated that he saw Los Blaugranas as one of the finalists on May 26.

"I can't say much about a game I didn't watch, but I can say that this is a fair competition. I truly believe that Manchester City and Barcelona deserved to play the final, but now both teams are out. Their places were taken by two strong teams such as Liverpool and Roma. Let's wait and see how things unfold," Klopp concluded.
