Real Madrid had struggled recently whenever Zinedine Zidane decided to rest Cristiano Ronaldo, but those worries came to an end today thanks to Gareth Bale's performance against Las Palmas.
The hosts had already snatched one point from Barcelona a few weeks ago, which meant that they had what it takes to worry Los Blancos. Unfortunately for them, Bale stepped up to deliver a fine display at the Gran Canaria stadium and ended a personal drought away from home.
The Welsh ace hadn't been able to send the ball to the back of the net for three months when playing away from the Bernabeu. The last time he was able to score away goals came in the 2-2 draw between Celta and Real Madrid, which took place on January 7.
Added to that, Bale confirmed his resurgence after recovering from an injury. These numbers might give you an idea about what we're talking about.
