Antoine Griezmann sets deadline to solve transfer saga

The French striker has been linked to a move away from Atlético Madrid, with Barcelona being his most-likely destination.

One of the hottest transfer rumors of the year has Antoine Griezmann right in the middle of it.

The French striker has been linked with a move to Manchester City, Manchester United and Barcelona. Apparently, Atlético's No.7 is still in doubt about where he will play next season, but he doesn't want to extend that dubious period, and he's established a deadline before the World Cup to solve his future.

Currently under contract with Los Colchoneros, Griezmann hinted that if the right offer doesn't come along, he will honor his commitment to the Spanish club, which extends until the end of the 2021-22 season.

I will decide my future before the World Cup. I want to go to Russia with a clear conscience. I think that's what everyone wants," Griezmann told L'Equipe.

The striker also went on to talk about what bothers him the most from being involved in such transfer talk.

"It's not a question of knowing where I will play, since it could end up being boring. What really gets to me is being asked over and over again what I think about this and that and what you want for your future," the player added.
