Barcelona drew their second consecutive La Liga game after welcoming Getafe to the Camp Nou.

The Blaugrana was unable to get back to winning ways against 10th-placed Getafe following the vehemently contested draw versus Espanyol last weekend. In a game that should have been a stroll in the park for Valverde’s men on paper, an undesirable feat was rather realized to emphasize the disappointment.

Barcelona failed to register a single shot on target in a La Liga home game in the first 45 minutes for the first time since April 2012 (vs Real Madrid). Relatively, the fixture saw Sergio Busquets marking his 300th La Liga outing, Yeray Mina making his first La Liga bow and the talismanic Lionel Messi taking his total appearance for the Catalans at the Camp Nou to 300.

However, the Argentine forward failed to increase his 309 goals scored at the home grounds considering the game ended in stalemates. Barcelona still leads La Liga with 59 points after 23 games, with seven points separating them and Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid in second place.
