Cesc Fabregas will join Barcelona during next summer’s transfer window. The Arsenal captain has reportedly agreed a deal with La Liga’s defending champions, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
More info about this latest transfer news claims that Cesc Fabregas will wear the number 4 jersey. His contract is said to be a 5-year deal which should see him remain at Barcelona until June 2016. That said, Real Madrid’s reported attempt to hijack the Catalans’ bid to sign the Arsenal captain might have well collapsed.

However, despite having concluded a deal with the Spaniard, Barcelona could face difficulties to complete Cesc Fabregas’ transfer. It is understood that Arsenal could play the tough game in trying to keep their ace at the Emirates Stadium. According to El Mundo Deportivo, though, a transfer fee of €50M could prove enough for Barcelona to finally get Cesc Fabregas whom they’ve been targeting for several years now.

In the meantime, the campaign continues for both clubs and for the player in question. On Saturday night, Barcelona will lock horns against Deportivo La Coruna away from the Camp Nou. La Liga is not yet decided at this point in time, and as Coach Pep Guardiola declared earlier this week, “Barcelona need to continue winning to keep Real Madrid at bay”.

Barcelona are leading the race after 17 match-days with 46 points and an incredible goal difference (+43). Deportivo La Coruna, meanwhile, are struggling in the other half of La Liga in 12th position but 8 points above the relegation zone.
