Mourinho and Ederson involved in heated post-match bust-up

December 11, 2017 By Oscar Rojas
The Portuguese boss allegedly entered a war of words with Manchester City's squad in their very own dressing room after Sunday's Manchester Derby.

Sunday's clash between Manchester United and Manchester City did not end with the fina whistle, as reports by the Daily Mail suggest that Jose Mourinho got into a heated argument with Man City's players.

According to these reports, Mourinho entered Manchester City' dressing room after the game to ask them to "show more respect" after their 2-1 victory, since they were celebrating with "extremely loud" music.

Things got out of hand when goalkeeper Ederson entered into a war of words with Mourinho, with both parties exchanging insults in Portuguese. Manchester United's players followed their boss and tried to calm things down, but as Mourinho stepped out of the dressing room, he was he was squirted with water, doused in milk, and even had an empty bottle of water thrown at him.

The report states that, with security guards watching the scene, Manchester City's assistant Mikel Arteta ended with a cut to his head. That cut came after a player, apparently Romelu Lukaku, threw the bottle at him.

The Football Association can ask for CCTV footage if referee Michael Oliver reports this incident. This could carry lengthy bans for all those involved.
